March 2026

We are seeing signs of March in the building as each year we celebrate Dr. Seuss Week.  Of course, we love all of the Dr. Seuss books, but this week we have chosen to focus on five of our favorites – One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish, Green Eggs and Ham, The Lorax, Wacky Wednesday, and Fox in Socks.  We will have a special event each day.  We will also participate in Read Across American.  We will end our week of celebration with a pajama day with the children bringing their favorite book to share. 

St. Patrick’s Day is drawing near, and we will have a St. Patty’s Day party. The children are already talking about how they hope to find a gold coin on March 17^th.  The teachers are preparing their classes for this Irish celebration. 

Here at MMDC we always promote emergency preparedness.  In the month of March, we will be focusing on severe weather by practicing our tornado drill along with the required monthly fire drill.  Safety first! 

Remember, daylight saving time begins Sunday, March 8^th.
