We always look forward to the first week of May so that we can celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week!  May 4-8 will be a week of celebrating our teachers and letting them know how much we appreciate them.  They are dedicated individuals who come to the daycare daily, ready to invest in the lives of the children in our program.  I am so blessed to work with the greatest group of teachers in early childhood education.

It is hard to believe that in one short month we will be starting our summer camp program.  We have a lot of exciting events planned for the hot days of summer.  We will be involved in water days, a foam party, a bubble show, reptiles, a magic show, bounce house, and many other projects and events.  Summer will be a time of fun, but we will also learn as we celebrate a science week when we will conduct some amazing science projects and experiments.  Summer fun!

We will close out the month of May with something new in our program.  In the past we have had individual events for Mother’s Day and Father’s Day.  This year we will not do those programs, but we will start what we call Party with the Parents.  We will take both events and combine them into one bigger event so that everyone can celebrate together. 

May 25^th is Memorial Day.  We pause to remember and honor those who have lost their life while serving our country in the Armed Forces.
