September marks the beginning of a new school year here at Montessori & Music Daycare Center.  It is a time when children are promoted to their new classrooms and teachers are excited to welcome the new children into their class. 

We had a nice Grandparents Day event where the Primary 1 & 2 classes sang for their grandparents and then had cookies in the classroom.  We love having the grandparents come and visit the daycare and meet the teachers because they are an important part of every child’s life.  Thank you, grandparents, for visiting with us!

On September 26^th, we will celebrate Johnny Appleseed Day.  Johnny Appleseed’s real name was Johnny Chapman.  He earned the nickname Johnny Appleseed because he started planting apple orchards across the United States to help feed people who did not have enough to eat.  We will be participating in various apple activities and tasting a few varieties of apples to find out which apple the children enjoy the most. 

Fall is approaching and we will enjoy fall activities and the cooler weather that it brings!
