For us, June is always associated with Preschool Graduation.  We have a large class of graduates this year.  We will see 22 children graduate and begin their next steps in their academic career as they begin kindergarten.  Some of them are nervous and others are excited.  All of these children have received a great Montessori education and are ready to move forward in their academic journey.  I am proud of this group of children and wish them well in kindergarten!

June also indicates the beginning of summer for our program.  We have several fun events planned for this month.  We will enjoy a magic show, cooking day, movie day, a foam party, science experiments with color, bicycle day, and other fun activities.

Father’s Day is June 15th, and we will have an event where we honor our fathers.  It is interesting to watch the fathers in this building as they interact with their children at drop off and pick up.  They talk to their children, and they show great patience as they take time to let their child look at the art on the wall or look through the window down into the gym to say hello or goodbye to their friends.  These are small moments in the day when they are investing in their child’s life.  Thank you, fathers, for the time you spend with your child.
