Happy Birthday America!  The other day I was explaining to a child why we celebrate July 4^th and told her that America is 250 years old this year.  She looked at me and told me her mommy is 250 years old.  Then she smiled at me and said, “and that’s old!”  Here at MMDC we are celebrating the birthday of America.  She might be old, but she is strong and beautiful.  Happy 250^th Birthday America!

We have some fun activities coming up this month.  In honor of our 250^th birthday, Captain America will be coming to visit us.  He will visit each class and take pictures with the children.  We love visits from our Superheroes!

One week this month we are going to study reptiles.  Our special guest that week will be the Giant Reptile Show.  We will be introduced to all things reptile - snakes, iguanas, lizards, and much more.  The rest of our month will be filled with bicycle day, water day, food day, a foam party, dance party, bounce house, piñatas, sensory projects, an art show, and hot air balloons!  July will be busy, but fun!

We also have a special day in July to celebrate Parent Appreciation.  We appreciate our parents. They have chosen Montessori & Music Daycare Center as the place to educate and care for their children.  They place their trust in us, and we are grateful for the opportunity they have given us to be a part of their child’s life.
