We have just completed the first week of our 2023-2024 academic year and what an exciting week it was! Summer Camp ended on August 16th, and it was a bittersweet moment to see many of our Primary 1 & 2 children leave to begin their journey into kindergarten. It is always sad to see them leave, but you cannot help but have a spark of excitement in your heart for them as they are beginning a new phase of their academic journey. We wish our kindergarten students well in the upcoming year!
On Monday, the rooms were filled with returning children, and new ones as well. It was fun to watch them as they entered their classrooms with wonderment in their eyes. They observed, explored, and showed great curiosity in their new environment. By the end of the week, they were beginning to get the routine down and make new friends. This is the exciting part of starting a new year of new beginnings, new friendships, and new growth and development.
Upcoming Events:
-On August 31st, we will celebrate the birthday of Maria Montessori, the founder of the first Montessori School and the Montessori Method of learning.
-September 11th - We will be celebrating Grandparents Day in the Primary 1 & Primary 2 classes.
